In order to celebrate 15 years of success our Managing Director, Daniel Gill, decided to thank the entire Dine team with a party. The format was easily agreed; the Dine team have a passion for excellent food and service, so our 15th anniversary bash was always going to be held where we could experience cutting edge cuisine.
Michelin starred Tom Aikens Restaurant in London was chosen and Tom wrote a menu specifically for the celebration, even inviting Dine’s Group Executive Chef and a colleague to work in the kitchen with him the night before.
“The change is more than skin-deep. The experience begins in understated surroundings, with just a linen napkin and a glass. From there it builds up and unfolds, like a story: excitement and surprise as each course arrives.’’ Tom Aikens, 2012
Tom Aikens Restaurant, based on Elystan Street in Chelsea, first opened its doors in May 2003 to critical acclaim owing to Tom’s innovative style and creative interpretation of modern French cuisine. In January 2012, the restaurant re-opened following the move towards a more informal style of fine dining and interior refurbishment. True to form, Tom Aikens upholds the culinary excellence found in like-minded restaurants in a refreshingly relaxed setting with friendly and knowledgeable service. The innovative menus – including a seven course tasting menu – become the focus of a relaxed, gregarious experience. Meanwhile, the restaurant’s wine list runs to around 350 international bins, managed by head sommelier Raphael Rodriguez.
Dine has always been able to offer our clients and partner venues the very best in food and service and we do this by investing large amounts in developing our products, not least our food. Both the dinner at Tom Aikens and previous trips to the George V in Paris, Manoir aux Quat Saisons and Charlie Trotter’s in Chicago are testament to our determination to be able to offer our clients and their guests the very best.
