Rarely has a wedding celebration attracted so much media attention, but when a winter wedding for some of Dine’s most long-standing private clients has a guest list which included the future King of England and his Fiancée, it hardly seemed surprising. Daniel Gill, the Event Manager, commented that it was the first time he has had to ask an ITN outside broadcast truck to leave an event site!
The perfect winter day offered guests the opportunity to savour the Yorkshire landscape at Allerton at its finest, with snow on the ground and a beautifully lit lake providing a backdrop for a marquee, which incorporated a central bar, stunning contemporary flowers on perspex plinths and tables set along solid glazing for guests to take in the views.
Guests enjoyed substantial canapés, which included a Demitasse of Lobster Bisque with a Rouille Croute, followed by an ‘Individual Fish Pie’ (which included lobster & scallops for good measure!) and then a Main Course of Fillet of Venison with Juniper Dauphinoise. The Dessert was a trio which included a shot ‘floating’ on dry ice for effect.
Speeches were particularly enjoyed by all the guests along with cheese from the wedding cake. Guests were then tempted to the dance floor with a cocktail and the Marquee wall dropped to reveal a beautifully lit dance area. The party went on until 2am with sparklers on departure – a truly memorable night was had by all!
