With the Bride & Groom living in Aberdeen, they had set their hearts on having their dream wedding at the Bride’s parents beautiful home in Harden, West Yorkshire. The happy couple decided to go for an informal country type feel for the wedding and Shades of India were employed to erect the fabulous Indian style tents which were to be used for the blessing, wedding meal and evening event.
The day started with guests arriving and being greeted with lovely chilled Pimms served on the lawn and guests were then led into the Ivory ‘ Raj ‘ Tent for the blessing. After the blessing, guests moved back onto the lawn to enjoy a glass of champagne or two, and were serenaded by a Jazz Trio. During the drinks an amazing ten bite canapé menu were offered to the guests, comprising of Seared Tuna Nicoise, King Scallops Sashimi and Mini Fish Pies to name a few.
The main course was an mouth-watering BBQ of fish and vegetarian options. The guests gradually made their way up the BBQ where the Dine chefs cooked some delicious dishes like Marinated Squid with Garlic, Parsley & Lemon Zest and Monkfish & Pancetta Kebab with Black Olive & Chilli Sauce. Accompanying the BBQ was a fresh, crisp salad selection.
The evening reception commenced with live music provided by the band “Hussy“ and in between their sets the DJ mixed his music. Later in the evening after a few G & T’s (guests only!), our staff wandered around with bacon and sausage sandwiches, served with brown and red sauce of course!
